Empire of Penkos

The Penkos Empire, which is ruled over by humans, is established on the northern side of the continent of Morena. It is surrounded by water on two sides and has a large mountain called Campi in the region of Cytus. There are six regions in total within Penkos: Targethon, Ledel, Airon, Okegan, Elaysia, and Cytus. These specific regions are managed by the head noble houses which are named after each original patron god. Sphaea is the Imperial Capital of the Kingdom that lies in the middle of Penkos. The current Emperor is Neo I Haima Xander, who succeeded his sister Crown Princess Wisteria after her death. The current imperial family consists of Queen Despina, Crown Prince Lio, 1st Princess Aera, 2nd Princess Seia, and 2nd Prince Livius.

Kingdom of Atticus

The Kingdom of Atticus, which is ruled by the Storia, is established on the southeast side of the Continent of Morena. It is surrounded by water to the south, to the east, the Targethon Gorge, and the western edge borders on the Yukari river. It is a lush land, abundant with nature and various fae-like races. The diversity of their people is well-known across Morena as well as their talent in agriculture. The royal capital of Atticus is Animo which lies toward the north-western side of the kingdom. The current monarch of Atticus is Queen Fylla Neraidocis, who has been in power for the past fifty years after her mother Queen Maeiylla abdicated the throne. The current royal family consists of 1st Prince Consort Gille, 2nd Prince Consort Osman, 3rd Prince Consort Longe, and their children. The royal children include Crown Princess Primis, 1st Prince Cae, 2nd Prince Silex, 2nd Princess Theina, 3rd Prince Viri, 4th Prince Lenta, and 3rd Princess Cliod.

Kingdom of Clarus

The Kingdom of Clarus, which is ruled by the Vorso, is established on the southwest side of the Continent of Morena. It is surrounded by water to the west and south. Clarus’ eastern border is the Yukari river. It is a land covered in thick forests, and winding rivers throughout the region. The Vorso themselves are animal shape-shifters, with individual clans dependent on their species type. Raezoa is the royal capital of Clarus, situated on the southern tip of the kingdom, and is close to the ocean. The current ruler of Clarus is Queen Regent Miro Morvoto, along with her adopted son Crown Prince Adept. The crown was passed to Queen Miro after her husband King Reo passed away. The other royal children are both Queen Miro’s blood-related children, Prince Therin and Princess Annisa.

Land of Lamentation

The Land of Lamentation is a piece of land located to the far east side of the Continent of Morena. It is separated from the main Empire and Kingdoms due to the Targethon Gorge. Not much of the land has been explored since it is overrun by the undead and is ruled over by demonic beings. The land itself is covered in dark red silt that nearly blocks all the sunlight. The land itself seems to mostly be barren with a few camps. Information on the Land of Lamentation is incomplete since no scouts have been able to pass beyond a certain distance without being killed. Several living outposts are scattered through the land. The Gorge itself is crawling with undead and it is difficult to cross. If a living person dies within the Gorge or Land itself, they will become undead. Generally most of the troops that border the Gorge are controlled by House Targethon.

Land of Moirai

The Land of Moirai is a medium-sized piece of neutral land located in the centre of Morena. Each piece of Moirai touches The Empire of Penkos, The Kingdom of Atticus and the Kingdom of Clarus. This piece of land used to belong to The Empire of Penkos but was gifted from Empress Eaera to a relative to build a church, eventually becoming The Church of Morena. The Land of Moirai now includes three villages, Cessity, Norn and Ladona. The Basilica of Our Lady Aea is the largest public building for the worship of the gods within Morena. The members of the church reside and work within this building. It is a centre of peace and no violence is allowed to occur within the land. It is also the main centre for the processing of criminals.

Half Lands

The Half Lands is a long strip of land bordering between Penkos, Atticus and Clarus. These lands were created as a part of a mandate by the Church of Morena. This was meant to be a safe space for those who were born between Humans, Vorso and Storia. This was also a bit of a buffer area between the Empire and Kingdoms. Before the buffer zone was created, many Human cults sought to kill the Storia and Vorso, using their body parts as sacrifices as well. The land has been functioning for the past fifteen generations and has less use now as a buffer since marriage and families between Humans, Vorso, and Storia is normalized.

Mount Campi

Mount Campi is the largest mountain range within Morena. It lies directly above House Cytus’ land and belongs to Penkos. It was once home to the Dragon Folk before they migrated to Atticus during the Revolution. Only a few villages still remain living within the Mount Campi region. In certain areas, it is lush and full of resources. In others, it is barren, charred and scattered with the remains of Humans and Dragon Folk alike. House Cytus works with The Church of Morena to properly excavate the mountain. The current “leader” of Mount Campi is Lady Nacaea ‘Echi’ Neraidocris of House Caelum and Neraidocris.

The Halls of Aevum

The supposed final resting place of the Goddess of Morena. It was said that the Goddess was sealed into the Halls. The Halls of Aevum was a space within the realm of Morena in which she bled and gave life to the world and the other gods. It was an unchanging space in which time stilled. The Goddess of Morena kept the place secret and securely locked. It was only to be opened by The Goddess of Morena’s hand or blessing. To open the doors, blood was drawn. The Halls itself were described to be a large and silent maze of crystalline walls. Footsteps were muted, and it was illuminated by golden stars seemed to float within the space, and flowed around as if carried by water. In the centre of the maze, there was a chalice of eternal blue fire that lay atop a stone table. Frayed and charred paper seemed to litter the floor. Gold and crimson symbols adorned the walls. Beyond the walls, there was a room. This room was unable to be accessed. The only records of this place were made by the Goddess Aea.
